Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Reports to the Budget Manager and assists in the planning, coordination, development, and monitoring of the College's budget. The position supports budget operations through data analysis, report and dashboard development, and workflow documentation.
- Performs data analysis by extracting, researching, validating, and evaluating information from multiple systems to support budget planning, reporting, and decision-making.
- Reviews financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and reporting needs.
- Provides daily support related to budget processes, reporting tools, and departmental data requests.
- Responds to data and budget inquiries by researching discrepancies, identifying root causes, and assisting with resolution.
- Processes budget adjustment entries and maintains associated documentation, ensuring all records are saved and organized electronically.
- Provides technical assistance in the development and submission of annual budgets.
- Works with accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assists in the development of training materials (process flow charts, job aids, and other resources for budget officers.
- Assists in the preparation of the annual budget publications.
- Assists in the preparation of various reports and presentations for Budget Officers, Administrators, and Board of Trustees.
- Designs and provides ad hoc analyses proactively and upon request. Develops and maintains dashboards, automated reports, spreadsheets, and related analytical tools to improve operational efficiency and data accessibility, and designs and delivers both proactive and ad hoc analyses to support decision-making in response to operational needs and requests.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
Qualifications:
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, business analytics, data analytics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, accounting or related field or in lieu of a bachelor's degree, equivalent number of years of experience required.
- Experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in data analysis, reporting, budgeting, finance, accounting, business analytics, statistics, or a related field. Professional experience may be considered.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, data analysis, and the development of reports and dashboards. Experience with data visualization tools is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and data interpretation abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize work, meet deadlines and manage balance multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Ability to research, analyze, and organize large datasets to support reporting, decision-making, and process improvement efforts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:

- Experience with MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Hybrid Remote Eligible: Yes (On-site required)

Hiring Range:
Starting salary beginning at $60,064/annually, based on education and experience.
Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
