Budget Analyst I
Description of Work:
The Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) brings together the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, the Agricultural Research Division, and Nebraska Extension to serve Nebraska through teaching, research, and extension outreach. As a Budget Analyst I, you will:
- Perform budget activity, information management and reporting, process mapping and improvement, accounting, promotion and tenure process coordination.
- Be administratively responsible to the Financial/Budget Manager, Finance and Personnel office and working closely with IANR Administrators and support staff.
- Assist with the development of the annual operating budget, assist with day-to-day operating budget, budget analysis, and reporting for the Deans and Vice Chancellor, and assist with the update and maintenance of SAP Org Management.
This position is located on UNL's East Campus in Lincoln, NE.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree plus four (4) years in business-related field. Equivalent education/experience acceptable.
- Working knowledge of general accounting practices and financial reporting.
- Understanding of large integrated financial management systems.
- Advanced skills in PC-based spreadsheet software programs are essential
Preferred Qualifications:
The following qualifications are preferred, but not required:
- UNL Budget System experience.
- Project accounting experience.
- Working knowledge of budgeting and personnel/payroll.
- Working knowledge of UNL.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Skilled with PC-based database software programs.
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and accurate.
Posted Salary: $59,910/year minimum
