Building Operations Coordinator
Position Introduction
This position will support the manager with new projects with power, security and backup systems, communication and fail-over systems, back-gate security, event set up and tear down, day to day operations and activities, and environmental controls. This position will assist supervisor with programming and maintenance of Locknetics Campus Lock system providing access for NWC occupants. This position will also include oversight of NWC access groups to include SoonerCard access requests, basic oversight and issue of access plans, and proper documentation. Building specific experience and knowledge and/or OU specific experience is a plus due to scope of role.
Department Specific Duties
- Be on-call 24 hours per day to respond to urgent or emergency maintenance needs.
- Assists supervisor with liaison duties between NOAA entities and NWC building management in relation to maintenance and support needs.
- Allocates shower and bike lockers to NWC occupants upon request and maintains records.
- Acts as backup for Dock Manager and Assistant Director of Operations when necessary.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- 24 months of professional building management/facilities experience.
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 72 months of related experience.
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Valid Driver's License.
Department Preferences
- Experience with the National Weather Center or the University of Oklahoma.
- X-Ray interpretation and/or certification for use in Shipping and Receiving.
- Prior experience with event logistics and setup.
