For which we are now seeking a talented Business Analyst to join the MQ Health team and play a critical role in a major digital health initiative. As the vital bridge between the IT Health team and the hospital's clinical and administrative departments, you will collaborate with key business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that technology solutions align with business needs. About the Role
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Business Analyst will elicit, analyse, and validate functional and non-functional business and system requirements in conjunction with key stakeholders across MQ Health, and assist in the scoping and implementation of IT projects that enhance healthcare delivery and operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and mapping current and future state processes to support health-related IT projects and digital transformation initiatives across MQ Health.
- Understanding existing clinical and operational processes and pain points, identifying opportunities for improvement through technology and mapping current and future state processes.
- Collaborating with clinical and business stakeholders to gather requirements, critically evaluating information to determine scope and vision in alignment with MQ Health's strategic goals.
- Translating business requirements into technical specifications, working closely with vendors and solution architects to ensure alignment with healthcare IT platforms and applications.
- Creating and reviewing test cases and undertaking testing activities following MQ IT project methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Identifying suitable options to address complex healthcare business requirements and developing appropriate documentation, diagrams, and feasibility assessments.
- Mapping functional and non-functional requirements and conducting gap and impact analyses to ensure high-quality, end-to-end processes that adhere to healthcare regulatory and compliance standards.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with clinical staff, health administrators, IT teams, and external delivery partners, communicating technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Raising risks and issues to appropriate project/program members and supporting the management of controls or mitigation actions.

About You (Selection Criteria)
You are a collaborative, detail-oriented Business Analyst with a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex problems in healthcare. You thrive in environments where your work has tangible impact on operational excellence.
- A degree or equivalent experience in information management, computing science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in investigating and analysing business requirements to identify efficiencies and gaps and designing and mapping process improvements, ideally within a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and facilitate effective conversations with diverse stakeholders, including clinicians, procurement teams, and non-technical audiences.
- Strong business and technical analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to grasp complex healthcare challenges and explain them in clear, straightforward terms.
- Understanding of Agile Project Management principles and practices, with hybrid project experience.
- Knowledge and experience across all phases of IT projects, including requirements analysis, design, build, testing, and defect management.
- Advanced Excel and Jira skills, proficiency in defining business and system requirements and translating these into workable solutions, including formatting requirements documentation for vendor RFT processes.
