This is a rare and exciting opportunity to support what happens behind the scenes at the University, working across projects such as large-scale construction, space reutilisation, innovative digital and technology initiatives and other organisation change activities.
No day is the same in this role, we don’t want a technical expert – we want someone who can facilitate, translate and communicate to support our investment decision processes.
Reporting to the Head of the Transformation and Improvement, this role focuses on business case development across the University. This role works closely with stakeholders at all levels and plays a key role in developing business cases for large, complex, and University-wide projects. It supports the creation and implementation of consistent project frameworks and methodologies across the University, with a primary focus on managing the University’s Business Case Framework.

Your skills and experience | Kā pūkeka me kā wheako
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- Extensive experience in business case writing and facilitation, with a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality customer service.
- Demonstrated skill in engaging and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders, including facilitating workshops for project teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
While not required, experience in or an understanding of NZ Treasury Better Business Case accreditation, Prince2, MSP or PMP qualification would be advantageous.

This is a Dunedin based, permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) position.
The salary appointment range for this role is $101,739 to $110,396 per annum. Top of the range is $119,053.
