The major sub-disciplines of business informatics in the enterprise architecture approach touch all the value-creating activities of IT.

These include the mapping of business logic, the design and implementation of IT systems, the management of information systems, including data and knowledge management, the regulatory issues of the information society, and the research and development of intelligent solutions for the application areas.

The main research focus is on the potential applications of innovative information and communication technologies and the research challenges of data management.

We are not aware of any specific GRE, GMAT or GPA grading score requirements for this programme.

English requirements

Duolingo English Test: 100
IELTS: 6

Other requirements

General requirements

A degree from a university or equivalent accredited Master’s programme (MA or MSc) (Part-time MBA degrees are not accepted).
A minimum level of B2 in English is required to complete the training. Please upload copies of language examinations, if available, as proof of language proficiency on the application page.
You can apply even if you have no prior studies in the relevant discipline (but otherwise meet all the admission requirements). You can start your studies on condition that you take the designated catch-up courses and pass an exam in the first semester of your PhD studies.
Preference will be given to applicants who have won an OTDK (National Scientific Students’ Associations Conference) award. Proven research ability (OTD, scientific publications) is also an advantage.

EU/EEA: 6,404 AUD / year (≈ 3,958 EUR / year)

Hungarian citizens and foreigners (EU and EEA): HUF 800,000/semester

Living costs

Budapest, Hungary: 763-1,188 AUD / month

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
