Business Intelligence Analyst

About This Opportunity

As a Business Intelligence Analyst within UQ’s Planning and Business Intelligence team, you will contribute to the University’s evidence‑based decision‑making by transforming complex administrative data into meaningful insights. Working in a collaborative, inquisitive and purpose‑driven environment, you will support institutional planning and performance reporting across UQ, partnering with stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, user‑focused business intelligence solutions that enable the University to create change together.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Developing innovative, user‑focused reporting solutions, including dashboards and data visualisations, by applying expertise in SAP BusinessObjects (or similar tools) and a strong understanding of business and system processes.
• Conceptualising, developing and supporting the implementation of business intelligence solutions aligned with the University’s strategic objectives, and providing expert advice to clients across UQ.
• Working with data warehouse systems analysts to identify emerging data needs, incorporate new data sources, redevelop existing sources, and undertake quality assurance to resolve data errors and improve data integrity.
• Collaborating with stakeholders across the University to collect, interpret, validate and present planning and performance data that supports strategic and operational outcomes.
