The Laboratory of Prof. Reznikov at the department of Bioengineering, Faculty of Engineering, McGill University, is looking to hire a post doctoral researcher to work on the project "A virtual reality museum for rare medical and natural history artifacts".

Main responsibilities

  • 3D imaging of museum exhibits from two McGill University museums, 3D image segmentation, annotation, hyperlinking and construction of a virtual reality environment
  • Acquisition of images using microcomputed tomography, image curation, object-oriented programming
  • Contribute to dissemination of knowledge through publications and presentations

Qualifications

  • PhD in life sciences, knowledge of zoology and /or human anatomy
  • Programming skills in Python and/or C++
  • Experience in 3D image processing and analysis
  • Good communication skills and English language

One year contract

Expected start date: Jan 1 2025

Salary to commensurate with experience
