Position Summary: The UNC Department of Dermatology provides medical and surgical care to patients with conditions that affect the skin, hair, nails, and membranes. Our vision is to advance our mission through ongoing innovation and service in a supportive, caring environment for patients, staff, physicians, and all members of our health care team. The Temporary Business Officer position administers and manages certain operational duties for the Department of Dermatology. These duties encompass making sure all clinics and labs run smoothly, efficiently, safely, and in compliance with healthcare standards. This position is responsible for reviewing and monitoring operational data for accuracy, identifying issues, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations. The role serves as an operational resource within the Department of Dermatology Business Office, supporting the department Associate Chair of Administration (ACA) and departmental administrative processes.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related business area; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Management Preferences: Experience with ConnectCarolina, PeopleSoft, or Infoporte
Experience in an academic/university and healthcare setting
Experience working in departmental research administration with pre-award and post-award responsibilities.
