Remuneration: $161,241 to $168,919 pa (HEW9) (inclusive of $136,251 to $142,738 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Business Operations Manager to join Marketing and Student Recruitment, Engagement, Chancellery Division.
The Business Operations Manager manages the operational functions of the Marketing and Student Recruitment (MSR) department and provides high level support on key initiatives to the Chief Marketing Officer, and the broader MSR Leadership Team. The position is responsible for establishing governance, planning and reporting routines that enable timely decision making, clear accountability and effective operation of the evolving MSR structure. The position drives continuous improvement in processes, governance and resource management, ensuring all QUT policies are followed. The role also contributes to and manages key strategic planning activities for the portfolio, including coordination of budgets and planning alignment across the team, with strong project management skills.

What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in operational leadership within a large, complex organisation, ideally within a University or government setting with comparable policy, governance and procurement frameworks.
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in budget management, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Proven ability to translate strategic direction into clear operational priorities, plans and deliverables.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence outcomes across diverse groups.
- Proven experience delivering project initiatives, supported by strong analytical and problem-solving capability to diagnose issues, interpret data and implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
