Essential Job Duties:
The primary purpose of this position is to support the day-to-day operations for Advise NC at NC State. This position will be primarily responsible for managing the pre-award and post-award processes for Advise NC at NC State in partnership with DASA Finance and the Office of Sponsored Programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Project Modification Requests (PMR)
- Salary Distribution Change (SDC)
- Journal Vouchers (JV)
- Closeout for multiple grants, foundation, trust fund and state-appropriated accounts.
The Business Services Coordinator will independently conduct responsibilities involving entering and approving travel, reconciling PCards, purchasing, and other day-to-day operational functions. The Business Services Coordinator will consult with the Director on budget expenditures for annual and long-range strategic budgetary planning. This position is contingent on annual renewals of grant funding.

- Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the organization and evolving priorities.
Minimum Experience/Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Proven ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks, prioritizing deadlines, and handling confidential information with discretion.
- Demonstrated commitment to implementing and maintaining best practices in all business operations.
- Thorough financial and accounting knowledge with the ability to: manage budgets using established University tools and reporting systems, process, monitor and audit financial transactions, audit accounts and resolve discrepancies, manage account structures.
