Monitors and assists in drafting timelines for implementation
of long-range/short-range plans and projects
Works with division leadership to track grant milestones and
deliverables
Monitors project portfolio progress, drafting and distributing
periodic progress reports for leadership and stakeholders in the
form of dashboards.
In partnership with the involved researchers, identifies the
tasks involved in the project, assigns assets accordingly, and
tracks progress toward completion.
Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the
project (particularly tracking FTE allocation for researchers in
the AI division across grants and projects).
In partnership with PASS and departmental pre-award support
personnel, prepares and implements a budget based on
estimates.
Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to
management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk
(including termination of the project if appropriate).
Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the
project.
Provides training to department leaders in the project
management framework.

Work Location:
Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per
week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and (3) years
of professional experience managing research of a business unit
including project management and working with faculty.
- Substitution : An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate)
may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis if the
degree is in a field of study directly related to the work
assignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional level experience in project
management.
- Experience with large-scale project management, strategic
planning and/or consulting
- Experience in healthcare or at an academic medicine research
institution
- Masters degree or other related advanced degree.
- Experience using and deploying project management software such
as Clickup, Monday, etc.
- Demonstrated experience executing process improvement or
project management within academic healthcare setting/research
institution
Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Strong project management skills with a self-directed, results
oriented aptitude.
- Must have demonstrated analytical/problem-solving, project
management/task planning
- Responsible to ensure project plans are robust, maintained, and
access is available to all necessary.
- Organization agility, demonstrating ability to influence across
levels and functions of the organization.
- Project portfolio management on an enterprise or strategic
planning level
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and
orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with employees at all levels throughout the
institution.
- Outstanding customer service skills.

The starting salary range (

$68,330 - $91,562.
