Support campus dining and catering services with hands-on kitchen and café duties in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Mō te tūka | The role

Join our Food, Beverage & Conferencing team and play a key role in delivering high-quality food service across campus. From customer service and barista duties to kitchen support and event catering, this role offers variety and the chance to contribute to a vibrant university community.

Some tasks of the role include:

• Providing excellent customer service in cafés and food service areas
• Performing barista duties and assisting with bar service
• Maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dishwashing areas
• Setting up and packing down service stations
• Following food safety procedures and taking corrective actions
• Supporting catering for university events and functions

Fixed term role starting ASAP, ending July 2026 covering parental leave, paying $27.80/hr. Hours of work are Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm, 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE).

Kā tino Pūkeka/Whēako | Essential skills/experience for the role

You will have:

• At least one year of hospitality experience
• Café/barista training (advantageous)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work to high standards
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset
• Honesty, integrity, and a commitment to teamwork
• Alignment with Manaakitaka and Lincoln University values.
