The Opportunity
The Campus Director (CD) is responsible for the overall operation and leadership of one or more Worldwide Campus locations, including Aviano, Vicenza, and Incirlik. This role provides strategic and day-to-day oversight of academic advising, student services, administrative operations, budgeting, human resources, and outreach initiatives. Reporting to the Associate Executive Director of Campus Operations, the Campus Director works closely with Worldwide Directors of Enrollment Development to support enrollment goals and manage the full student lifecycle from prospect to graduation.
The Campus Director ensures exceptional student support services, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and a strong campus presence within the local military and civilian communities. This role may supervise an Associate Campus Director and/or Administrative Assistant and is responsible for fostering a high-performing, student-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Advising & Student Services
- Provide academic advising by maintaining thorough knowledge of university policies, procedures, and academic programs
- Support students with degree planning, course selection, registration, and completion timelines
- Monitor student progress and provide proactive enrollment and retention guidance
- Refer students to appropriate university resources such as Financial Services, VA support, Admissions, and the bookstore
- Enforce university policies while maintaining strict confidentiality of student records
- Proactively engage students according to campus communication plans to support retention and success
- Process academic requests including waivers, program changes, catalog updates, withdrawals, and graduation applications
- Maintain accurate student records, conduct evaluations, and monitor academic and financial standing
- Communicate with students regularly through email, phone, and in-person interactions
- Promote scholarships, honor societies, alumni opportunities, and career services
- Respond to student inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
Administrative & Operational Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate student and campus data in institutional systems and generate reports as needed
- Monitor enrollment activity, registrations, payments, and at-risk student indicators
- Ensure student and campus records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready
- Support campus budget management, financial reconciliation, travel expenses, and purchasing compliance
- Safeguard university assets and ensure adherence to financial and operational policies
- Ensure classrooms and instructional spaces are properly maintained and ready for use, including instructional technology systems
- Maintain appropriate campus coverage during instructional periods, adjusting office hours as needed
- Support outreach and marketing budget planning and execution
- If applicable, recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate staff in accordance with HR policies
- Provide ongoing performance feedback and support staff development
Outreach & Community Relations
- Represent the university at college fairs, military briefings, and community outreach events
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Education Services Officers (ESOs), military units, and community partners
- Coordinate mobile office hours and unit-level briefings to support student access and recruitment
- Promote university programs and services to prospective and current students
- Serve as a professional representative of the university in all interactions
Training & Professional Development
- Participate in required training programs, including onboarding and annual compliance training
- Attend university meetings, workshops, town halls, and professional development sessions
- Use institutional tools and systems effectively to support campus operations
- Provide feedback to improve training and operational processes
- Engage in continuous professional development to support campus leadership effectiveness
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Partner with HR and Campus Operations on hiring, onboarding, and staff training
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
- Support employee development through mentoring and growth opportunities
- Oversee campus budget and financial management responsibilities for assigned locations and staff
