The Student Manager is responsible to provide and oversee
operations for respective programs, events and/or facilities during
set work hours. The Manager will provide direction to student
workers by supervising tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring
adherence to policies and procedures. They are responsible to
provide training and equip staff daily to perform required duties.
The Student Manager is responsible for maintaining safety, reducing
risk and providing excellent customer service to all patrons.
JOB SUMMARY
The Graphic Design Student Manager position is responsible for
designing marketing and promotional materials, promoting Campus
Recreation at various events, and assisting in marketing
strategies. The candidate must be capable of taking direction and
constructive criticism and working in a team environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Design marketing and promotional materials for print and
digital platforms.
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns
that promote Campus Recreation events and programs as directed by
the Graphic Design Coordinator.
- Mentor and support student graphic designers by providing
feedback and suggestions on marketing materials and design projects
for teammates as needed .
- Assists with adherence to the Campus Recreation style guide,
ensuring compliance with University policies.
- Responsible to assist with maintenance of Campus Recreation
marketing equipment.
- Assist in promotional tables or events to provide a
well-rounded promotion of Campus Recreation events or
facilities.
- Work in a team environment with other designers, photographers,
and videographers.
- Attend all required Campus Recreation trainings and
meetings.
- Remain up to date on industry standards or trends.
- Perform all other tasks assigned by the Graphic Design
Coordinator or Associate Director of Marketing to assist with
Campus Recreation operations and programming.
- Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering
LU's mission.

Minimum Qualifications
- Current Liberty University student
- 1 year of experience in marketing and promotions as a student
worker is required.
- Experience and strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
(Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Ability to work within a brand and respond positively to
constructive criticism
- Ability to work up to 29 hours per week
P referred Qualifications
- Majoring in Studio and Digital Arts, Digital Marketing, Digital
Media, Strategic Communications or related field
- Experience with motion graphics or marketing campaigns

WORKING CONDITIONS Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the
essential functions of this position is split between two
climate-controlled office settings. Both areas are well lit and the
noise level is moderate.
Driving Requirements
If the employee is required to travel in performing the duties and
responsibilities of the position, the use of one’s personal vehicle
(or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proof of a valid
driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval,
and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance
of the employee’s position.

Student employees are paid at least the current Virginia minimum
wage per hour. Pay may vary by position and department based on job
responsibilities, required skills, available funding, and market
