Job Description
Basic Function and Responsibility:
Employee will be cross-trained in the multi-functional areas of the Auxiliary Services department consisting of Bookstores, Copy Center, and Receiving. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the operations of different business units.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Bookstores with customer service, cashiering, restocking, inventory, processing returns, receiving textbooks, merchandising, and maintaining visual standards.
- Assist Copy Center with completing print jobs, operating copier machines, restocking supplies, and delivering print jobs.
- Assist Receiving with receiving of dock deliveries, logging receipt of external deliveries, sorting and processing of incoming and outgoing mail, delivering and collecting mail throughout the campus, and logging internal deliveries.
- Assist Auxiliary Services managers with the preparation and execution of department projects and events.
- General office duties such as filing, answering phones, data entry, scanning documents, etc.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times in all areas.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Supervision Received:
Functional supervision is received from the Senior Manager of Auxiliary Services and the Assistant Manager of Auxiliary Services.

Requirements
Qualifications and Working Conditions:
- Ability to learn and operate cash registers.
- Ability to learn and operate mass production copiers.
- Ability to communicate clearly by phone, in person, and email.
- Basic computer knowledge such as email, Microsoft Word, Excel, Google docs, or ability to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain positive attitude when working with customers and staff.
- Maintain an organized work environment.
- Occasionally lift up to 40lb.
Physical Demands:
Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Ability to reach above shoulder. Periods of time spent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and stooping. Mobility to move from building to building on-Campus. Work is performed in a general office environment. Little or no exposure to adverse working conditions.
Additional Information
Regular Hours: Monday - Thursday between 1:00p-6:00p Friday 11:00a - 4:00p (25 hours/week) temporary position
SALARY - $20.00 per hour
