Job Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Campus Card Services, the Card Services Assistant will provide administrative and customer services support for the daily operations of the College’s Card Services. The Assistant will assist students, faculty, staff and campus visitors with ID card services, account transactions, and access related requests while maintaining accurate records and supporting office operations. The Assistant will learn and utilize specialized card office systems to produce ID cards and process requests. The Assistant supports semester based operational activities, collaborates with campus partners, as needed and contributes to efficient, responsive, and service oriented office operations.
Job Duties
- 60% - Assist students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors with routine College Card Services requests. Process new and replacement ID cards, debit account deposits, meal plan transactions, and card access requests. Deliver timely customer service and escalate complex issues to the Assistant Director when appropriate. - (Essential)
- 20% - Support semester card office operations, including ID card production, meal plan assignments, and access encoding. Process routine transactions in card office systems, maintain accurate records, assist with meal plan reconciliations, and complete other assigned operational tasks. - (Essential)
- 10% - Perform basic troubleshooting of ID card production equipment and card office software. Conduct routine equipment testing and maintenance, document service issues, and refer complex technical problems to the Assistant Director for resolution. - (Essential)
- 10% - Provide administrative assistance for special projects and departmental initiatives. Perform other assigned duties that support the efficient operation of College Card Services. - (Essential)
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- One year of administrative support, office, customer service, or related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google drives/folders/forms, Adobe Acrobat, Web Editing, and social media applications or any combination of productivity programs applicable to position responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented and thorough; skilled at anticipating and preventing potential problems and handling a wide variety of tasks with efficiency and accuracy. Strong commitment to a quality work product.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally, in writing and electronically. Effective interpersonal skills as evidenced in the ability to collaborate with a variety of constituencies.
- Demonstrated commitment to justice, equity, inclusion & diversity.
- Demonstrated skill in adapting to and performing work effectively in high-volume, high accountability, confidential environment with multiple and changing priorities. Effective organizational, logistical, time management and planning skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, prioritize and fulfill the functions of an office in a timely manner.
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
- Ability to provide effective leadership and training, and to work effectively and professionally across functions, disciplines, levels, and with diverse groups.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree.
- Experience in a higher education environment. Experience with ID card systems, access control systems, or other database applications.
EXPECTED HIRING RANGE: $20.00/hr-$23.00/hr
