This position has been identified as a position of trust with
access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be
required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for
employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and repeated every
four years.

experience and qualifications of the finalist.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Position responsibilities for patient care at UW Health
locations, includes inpatient cardiovascular medicine service and
night call; outpatient cardiovascular services including clinic
coverage at Madison based clinics as well as regional sites based
on the needs of the division; diagnostic cardiovascular testing,
including but limited to, electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitors,
transthoracic echocardiography, and a variety of modalities of
stress testing and non-invasive imaging.
- Responsibilities will also include providing clinical teaching
of medical students, residents and fellows.
- Physicians hired on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track
will participate in administrative and committee work to support
the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of
Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will
be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty
members.
- Cardiovascular Medicine provides faculty with ample
opportunities for medical education and scholarship.

Required Qualifications:
- WI medical license by start date of position.
- ABIM Board-certified or board eligible in cardiology by start
date of position.
- Completion of a US internal medicine residency and fellowship
trained in cardiology by the start date of the position. Fellows
are welcome to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
- For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on
CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the
department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public
Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or
Professor on the CHS Track.
- For an appointment at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical
Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria
established by the department and as outlined in the School of
Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment
to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.
