Provides direct treatment and management of conditions via
prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or
community resources. Counsels and educates patients and their
families/caregivers concerning health conditions, treatment options
and community resources.
Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in
accordance with specific specialty area standards and network
nursing policy.
Participates in orientation and education of staff and
students.
Other related functions as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Physician's Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board
or Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of
Nursing.
- Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive
Authority specializing in Cardiac Critical Care.
- Credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing in Acute Care
nursing.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as
appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cardiovascular and thoracic experience preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a fast-paced
environment with minimal guidance.
- Ability to address individuals and information with a high
degree of sensitivity and confidentiality in various
situations.
- Capacity to work well with physicians and other care providers
as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare delivery team.
Salary Range
$125,000+ depending on qualifications
