Programme Structure
Topics include:
- Chronic cardiovascular diseases, including atrial fibrillation, heart failure, hypertension, and related conditions, with a focus on precision medicine.
- Platelet-related disorders, from basic cell biology to novel anti-thrombotic treatments.
- Thrombo-inflammation, exploring immune and endothelial cell interactions, atherosclerosis, and immune therapies.
- Advanced microscopy techniques for studying receptor signalling, heart microvasculature, and thermoacoustic/photoacoustic imaging of diseases like atherosclerosis.

- 2:1 honours degree in a subject relevant to the research area you are applying to.
- If you are an international student, you will need to demonstrate you have a suitable level of English proficiency, usually through the form of an IELTS or equivalent qualification or a Presessional English course.
