About Centre for Future-Ready Graduates

The NUS Centre for Future-ready Graduates (CFG) adopts a student-centric approach to support students in understanding their strengths and developing relevant skills for an evolving world of work. CFG has developed a four-year roadmap delivered through skills programmes and industry-focused experiential opportunities that prepare students for life after graduation.

Serving the full spectrum of students from undergraduates to postgraduates, CFG offers more than 15 unit-bearing courses in collaboration with academic and industry partners. We continuously enhance and innovate our offerings to ensure students are equipped not only to launch meaningful careers, but also with the skills and mindset to navigate an increasingly complex and unpredictable future.

About the Role

This is a full-time role within the Career Advisory team, supporting undergraduates as they explore and pursue their career goals. We are seeking a collaborative and student-focused individual who listens, connects, and empowers students to develop their skills and confidence. Join a team committed to helping students succeed and prepare for life after graduation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Advise interdisciplinary undergraduates and recent graduates (particularly from Arts and Social Sciences) on career exploration, career planning, and employability strategies, providing one-to-one and group coaching on internship / job search techniques, resume and cover letter preparation, and interview readiness.
  • Organise and facilitate CFG-led workshops, experiential learning programs, and industry-themed events to enhance students’ career and workplace competencies (e.g., resume writing, interviews, networking, workplace communication, personal branding, and industry talks).
  • Conduct internship and graduate briefings to prepare students for workplace expectations and career transitions.
  • Collaborate with the Industry Relations team to strengthen employer engagement, understand hiring needs, and connect students to opportunities.
  • Support key CFG/partner Faculties’ activities and events and work closely with partner Faculties to deliver targeted career preparation workshops (e.g., communication skills).
  • Promote career services, platforms, and initiatives to drive student engagement and awareness of CFG offerings.

About the Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Humanities, or Social Sciences.
  • 3-5 years of working experience in the following industries will have an added advantage:
    • Arts, Culture, Entertainment and Heritage
    • Banking and Finance
    • Communications, Advertising, Media
    • Digital (e.g., AI, Data Analysis, E-commerce, Digital Marketing)
    • Green/Sustainability (e.g., Decarbonisation, Sustainable Finance)
    • Healthcare
    • Public Administration
    • Society and Community
  • Prior experience in coaching/mentoring or familiarity with the use of personality profiling and career assessment tools would be an advantage.
  • Good awareness of ongoing industry transformation, emerging opportunities, and hiring trends.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Experience with presenting to large crowds both in virtual and in-person settings would be advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational and management skills with strong ability to build communities, develop relationships and establish networks both within and outside of the organisation.
  • Resilient and adaptable with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with partners and colleagues to manage change and achieve goals.
  • Proactive and innovative, with the ability to initiate or support pilot initiatives that test and assess new approaches to enhancing student engagement, employability outcomes, and the effectiveness of career services.
