HEW 6 $96,276 - $103,971 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time)

As a Career Development Program Officer, you will:

Contribute to the delivery of group workshops on job readiness topics using existing materials and session plans and developing new materials where required

Provide career clinic participants with foundational and up to date information about Australian workplace culture, expectations, and employee rights, referring complex or sensitive matters to the Career Clinic Coordinator as required

Plan, co-coordinate and support the delivery of internal HEPPP and needs-based programs in alignment with funding requirements, and timelines

Support the coordination of mentoring, work experience, or internship placements, progress tracking, and reporting outcomes to the Centre Director and the Associate Research Fellow with recommendations

Coordinate social media and communication activities that support the visibility, engagement, and impact of CREATE programs, ensuring alignment with Deakin branding and communication guidelines

To be successful, you’ll have:

A relevant degree in career development, education, social sciences, counselling, human services or a related field, with subsequent relevant experience delivering career development or employability support services

Experience delivering career counselling, coaching, or employment services to diverse cohorts, including students or jobseekers from equity, refugee, asylum seeker, or culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds

Ability to support service and program evaluation, including accurate collection of data, client feedback, and outcome information to meet reporting and funding requirements (e.g. HEPPP)

High level of digital literacy, including confidence using online career platforms, job search tools, project management platforms, learning management systems, and client or data management systems

Existing regional networks and a strong understanding of local career opportunities to aligned to the project.
