Position Summary:
AUIB is seeking a dynamic and experienced Career Services Officer to drive its mission in supporting students and alumni in achieving career success by providing guidance, professional development programs, and access to employment opportunities. In this pivotal role, the Career Services Officer will focus on assisting with advising, employer engagement, event coordination, and data reporting. Job Location: AUIB Campus, Airport Road, Baghdad, Iraq.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Career Advising – Assist students and alumni with career planning, job search strategies, and professional growth.
  • Programs & Events – Support in organizing workshops, training, and networking activities to build employability skills.
  • Employer & Alumni Relations – Help build and maintain partnerships for internships, job placements, and recruitment opportunities.
  • Career Services Operations – Assist with managing platforms, job postings, databases, and reporting on student outcomes.
  • Collaboration & Market Insights – Work with faculty and stay informed on labor market trends to integrate career readiness into academic programs.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Education or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–2 years in career services, student affairs, human resources, or employer relations (experience in higher education is an advantage).

Skills:

  • Strong communication, advising, and counseling abilities.
  • Organizational, teamwork, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Event planning and program coordination experience.
  • Established market connections in Iraq.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and digital platforms.

Personal Attributes:
Professional, approachable, student-centered, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
