Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
The Careers & Employability Team Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality careers and employability services that enhance student success and graduate outcomes. This role coordinates operational activities, supports stakeholder engagement, and contributes to the continuous improvement of careers programmes and initiatives.
You will work closely with academic and professional staff, students, and external partners to ensure careers and employability services are well coordinated, responsive, and aligned with the University’s strategic priorities. This role requires strong organisational skills, sound judgement, and the ability to build effective working relationships across the University.
Salary will be in the range of $73,235 to $87,024 per year prorated based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time, fixed term (12 month) role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

You are a motivated and organised new graduate, or early career professional, with a strong interest in building a career in careers and employability, student support, or higher education. You bring enthusiasm for helping students succeed, along with well-developed communication and organisational skills gained through your studies, internships, parttime work, volunteering, or other relevant experiences. You are also comfortable using social media and systems to support student engagement, communications, and contribute to effective relationship building.
You are confident working with a range of people, keen to learn, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail. You are proactive, adaptable, and eager to develop your skills in a collaborative, fast paced environment that supports students to achieve positive career and employment ‑outcomes.
