The Bowie State University Careers in Health Program Coordinator will develop and implement innovative strategies for the advancement of pre-med, pre-health, and pre-professional students in the Department of Natural Sciences. The Coordinator will administer all day-to-day programmatic, administrative, fiscal, and operational activities of the BSU Careers in Health Program and its integrated activities.

Responsibilities: The candidate will work closely with faculty to coordinate mentorship, coaching, personal development, pre-professional exam assistance, application guidance, and professional mentorship for students. Responsibilities include managing recruitment efforts, tracking student progress, organizing participation in external opportunities, and preparing reports on program activities. The Coordinator will also teach Freshman Seminar courses in the Fall of 2025.

Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership, communication, organizational skills, program coordination, project management, and ability to interact with various stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related STEM discipline; Master of Science degree preferred; expertise in program management and career advisement; experience with students, faculty, and staff.
