Major/Essential Functions
Provides short-term, academic and personal counseling to students with disabilities, including discussing academic progress, tutoring support, study skills, time management, and organization strategies, as well as other areas of skills or concern that might affect the student's academic progress. Sets clear work objectives and goals and creates a student academic growth plan for each student to reach these goals. Collaborates with all Student Disability Services staff and maintains a close working relationship with all university departments that offer assistance on individual student cases.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a closely related field and two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities. Additional education can substitute for years of experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Higher Education, Psychology, Counseling, or other related field of study directly related to assigned work. One year of college student counseling experience.
Pay Range
$21.39 - $27.84 - $34.23
