Casework Manager
About the role
The successful candidate will manage their own complex investigation caseload as part of a team of Casework Managers. The role involves production of detailed professional investigation reports, in accordance with policy and OIA best practice, and acting as Investigating Officer at student misconduct panels. Alongside this important work, you will consider complex academic casework and advise relevant stakeholders accordingly on cases such as appeals and complaints in accordance with university regulation and sector best practice.
You will bring significant experience of conducting sensitive and complex investigations, including investigations into sexual misconduct, and bullying & harassment. You will be able to clearly evidence your experience of presenting investigation outcomes to senior panels as well as the proven ability to write detailed, accurate and concise investigation reports, exercising sound judgement informed by evidence.
You will offer advice and information to staff and students on the implementation of the University’s regulations and procedures for student appeals, complaints and disciplinary matters, to ensure that appropriate support services are signposted for all students.
You will have a proven record of working within and managing a busy team, with the ability to respond effectively to a wide range of people, whilst maintaining confidentiality, impartiality and professionalism at all times. You will be a confident speaker, be willing to take the initiative, and be methodical, well organised and able to work well under pressure.
