The School of Communication, Society, and Culture (SCSC) is currently inviting expressions of interest for inclusion within our casual academic pool for 2026.
The School of Communication, Society, and Culture (SCSC) is home to the disciplines of Anthropology, Geography and Planning, Media and Communications and Sociology.
Successful candidates may be involved in marking, demonstrations, tutoring, and, for more experienced academics, lecturing.
For your application to be considered for Session 1 2026, please register your Expression of Interest (EOI) via the online Qualtrics Survey and Workday application by 22 December 2025.
We are seeking applicants with the following experience:
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Completed Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in Media or Social Science disciplines or relevant professional industry experience in a media related subfield
- Sufficient discipline-specific knowledge
- An understanding and appreciation of scholarly teaching
- Proven ability to interact and communicate effectively with students, staff and the community
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Previous teaching experience (including tutoring and/or marking)
