Join our student support teams in Cairns and Townsville. We're seeking Casual Enrolment Help Assistants to support students during peak commencement and enrolment periods. In this flexible role, you'll provide helpful guidance, respond to enquiries, and help create a positive and welcoming start to university life. Hours vary throughout the year based on operational requirements.
- Casual appointments available
- Approximately 15 hours per week however, hours will vary throughout the year based on peak student intake periods with provision of up to 36.25 hours per week
- Based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus or Cairns Nguma-bada campus
- HEWL 4 casual rate: $48.05 per hour plus superannuation
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Casual Enrolment Help Assistant, you'll be part of the team that helps students successfully transition into university life. Working during key intake and commencement periods, you'll provide timely assistance across a range of enrolment and onboarding activities, helping students navigate processes, access information, and feel supported from day one.
This role offers a varied mix of customer service and administrative work, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering positive experiences.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
You are a confident and approachable communicator who enjoys assisting others and creating positive customer experiences. You can manage competing priorities, remain calm during busy periods, and work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
With strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset, you'll be comfortable responding to enquiries, learning new systems and processes, and contributing as part of a collaborative team committed to student success.
This role would suit someone looking for flexible casual work who enjoys engaging with people and making a genuine difference during an important stage of the student journey.
