 About the opportunity

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Business Analytics in the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics within the College of Business and Economics. 

This role will make an effective and sustained contribution to the University through teaching and research in the area of Business Analytics and will require a strong connection to industry and the community in order to collaborate and deliver innovative teaching and learning experience for students. The role is a teaching intensive academic position incorporating Course Coordination responsibilities for the newly established Master of Business Analytics.

What you’ll do:

• Undertake high-quality scholarly postgraduate (and where relevant undergraduate) coursework teaching.
• Undertake high-quality research of national and increasingly of international standing
• Increasingly provide academic leadership, particularly in fostering outstanding research
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of productive and effective links inside the University and locally and nationally with the discipline
• Make a strong and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities.­

What we’re looking for:

• A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Meet the requirements of an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business Scholarly academic.
• A strong record in, and continuing commitment to, research that has achieved national and preferably international recognition.
• Proven industry experience and practical expertise in applying analytics to real-world business challenges.
• A team player that has a strong focus on people with an excellent ability to be agile and respond to change.
• Proven ability to effectively represent and advocate on behalf of a team and/or organisational areas.

Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at Academic Level C and will have a total remuneration package of up to $178,024 comprising base salary within the range of $133,981 to $152,157 plus 17% superannuation.
