About the Role
Research Assistant opportunities may involve:
- Providing research and administrative support to research projects and academic staff.
- Collecting, entering and maintaining research data and databases.
- Assisting with data analysis and statistical reporting.
- Undertaking research support activities using established research methodologies.
- Liaising with research participants and stakeholders.
- Assisting with the preparation of ethics applications, grant applications, abstracts and progress reports.
- Preparing research documentation, manuscripts, presentations and study materials.
- Recruiting research participants and supporting data collection activities.
- Transcribing interviews and organising fieldwork activities where required.
- Attending research meetings, taking minutes and participating in training sessions.
- Assisting with the coordination of research-related events and administrative activities.
About You
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (or be nearing completion), with appointments at Level 5 generally requiring completion of a degree.
- Previous experience supporting research projects or undertaking research activities.
- Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, researchers, research participants and stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong computer literacy, including experience using Microsoft Office and other relevant software or research databases.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a research environment.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and working in accordance with research ethics requirements.
