"Casual Usher (University Cultural Centre)"

Job Description

You will perform the work of Usher with the University Cultural Centre (UCC). Your duties will include:

• Perform essential ushering duties such as greeting, directing, and seating patrons.
• Checking tickets or other modes of admission, checking the auditorium areas before and after events, and miscellaneous light duties.
• Enforce house rules and address situations in a professional manner.
• Act on all feedback in a prompt and appropriate manner.
• Ensure the safety of patrons by flagging any dangerous or unsafe practice that could pose as a hazard.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate fluently in English.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with limited lighting, loud music, steep stairs.
• Able to climb stairs and stand throughout an event – approx. 3 – 4 hours at a time.
• Service-oriented, team player, patient, and proactive.
