Casual VET & Higher Education Tutors for CDU’s First Nations Tutorial Support Program

The First Nations Tutorial Support Program at CDU is inviting expressions of interest from applicants for casual tutor roles in vocational education and training (VET) and higher education (HE) fields. Tutors will support First Nations VET and HE students in Darwin, Alice Springs, Nhulunbuy regions, interstate and online.

Position overview:

HE tutors can provide individualised and/or small group support, assisting students with study skills, understanding assessments and concepts, and essay writing.

VET tutors assist students with literacy, language, numeracy, and vocational competencies. Flexibility working within business hours is ideal.

Tutoring can be both online and face-to-face.

Remuneration:

HE tutors

• $60 per hour for individual tutoring sessions

• $65 per hour for small group sessions

VET tutors

• $51 per hour for individual tutoring sessions

• $55 per hour for small group sessions

Preferred fields of expertise:

Tutors can be subject specific or general, depending on student needs.

Please note – while we cannot guarantee an offer of casual employment, registering your interest significantly increases your chances. The outcome depends largely on the matching process, the needs of the student, and the tutor's expertise in the relevant discipline(s).
