CDL Shuttle Driver, Evening Shift
Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following full-time time-limited position: CDL Shuttle Driver, Evening Shift in the Department of Parking & Transportation Services.

Required: High School Graduate or equivalent (GED). Class A or B commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement. Possess U.S. Dept. of Transportation medical card. Pass background check, drug screening and submit to future random drug screenings.
Duties:
- Driving shuttle routes or over the road bus trips.
- Basic cleaning and servicing of vehicles.
- Occasionally driving mini buses, trucks, cars and vans on trips.
- Provides exceptional customer service to all constituents, including but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community at large.
Full-time time-limited position with benefits. (TL5764/ NS01415P). Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Normal work days vary. Normal work hours are 2:30 P.M. to 11:30 P.M. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
Required Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent (GED). Class A or B commercial driver’s license with passenger endorsement. Possess U.S. Dept. of Transportation medical card. Pass background check, drug screening and submit to future random drug screenings.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability and knowledge to utilize wheelchairs, tie downs, child safety seats, lifts, etc. (by assignment). Ability to adhere to safety practices. Ability to operate vehicles, fire extinguisher, two-way radio, tablets, and standard office equipment. Ability to perform basic math skills, including addition and subtraction. Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records. Ability to read, interpret and follow printed and electronic maps, route descriptions and directions. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Knowledge and ability to apply pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws. Knowledge of area streets and locations. Knowledge of emergency evacuation techniques. Knowledge of first aid, health standards, and hazards including the ability to administer first aid. Strong customer service skills. Understanding of essential vehicle maintenance. Understanding of safe driving practices and other safety practices and procedures.
