Augusta University is Georgia's innovation center for education and health care. The Dental College of Georgia provides dental education through innovative research, patient care, and service.
Job Summary: Manages the Central Sterilization and Instrument Equipment Collection Rooms. Manages the people and processes of work that are of a highly specialized nature involving the sterilization and processing of sterilized supplies and instruments for distribution within the Dental College of Georgia to students, residents, and faculty for patient care.
Responsibilities: The duties include, but are not limited to: Management of staff, implementation of policies, enforcement of compliance, managing inventory, quality control for sterilization, and other related tasks.
Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in HealthCare or Business Management with five years of experience, including three years supervisory, or Certification as a sterile processing technician with six years of experience, including three years supervisory.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in HealthCare or Business Management with one year of experience. Experience in inventory control, dental instrument repair, and related software.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of dental terminology and equipment. Skills in negotiation and communication. Abilities to maintain confidentiality and manage staff.
