This is a Part-Time Instructor Pool in our Continuing Education Workforce Development (CEWD) department for available assignments during the academic year. This position is limited to no more than 19 hours per week. Applications are considered throughout the academic year and reviewed based on departmental needs. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include working days, evenings and/or weekends.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
SUMMARY
Provides instruction in corporate media and brand communication, preparing students to develop strategic, consistent, and professional messaging across digital, social, visual, and traditional media channels.This position is limited to no more than 19 hours per week and is as needed based on community needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deliver instruction in corporate media, brand communication, public relations, and professional messaging.
- Teach students to develop consistent brand identities, messaging strategies, and communication plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Instruct students in the creation and management of digital, social media, visual, written, and multimedia content.
- Teach principles of audience analysis, brand voice, storytelling, communication strategy, and message development.
- Incorporate current industry practices, case studies, campaigns, and real-world corporate communication scenarios into instruction.
- Teach students to evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns using appropriate metrics, analytics, and audience feedback.
- Provide instruction in professional social media management, content planning, and digital engagement strategies.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Employee may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to twenty (20) pounds.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field.
- Ability to demonstrate current knowledge of professional communication, branding principles, digital media practices, and ethical communication standards.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, as well as intermediate computer skills.
- Must be familiar with interactive teaching methods and instruction via the Internet.
- Bilingual – English/Spanish (Speak)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional experience in corporate communications, branding, marketing, public relations, social media, digital media, or related fields.
- Demonstrated proficiency with digital communication platforms, content creation tools, social media management, analytics, and emerging technologies, including appropriate use of AI.
- Working knowledge of Blackboard course management system.
