Chair in Economic and/or Political Sociology
The Florence School of Transnational Governance (STG) seeks to appoint an outstanding scholar in Economic Sociology or adjacent fields such as Political Sociology and Micro-Political Economy. We invite applications from candidates whose research and teaching link sociological and political-economic perspectives to illuminate transformations in capitalism, democracy, and governance in an interconnected, transnational context.
We are looking for exceptional candidates with a strong scholarly focus in areas including, but not limited to, the digital and financial dimensions of capitalism, global value chains and inequality, international financial governance and corporate power, climate change and sustainable transitions, and the political economy of labour and business.
