Chancellor of State Center Community College District Position Profile About State Center Community College District State Center Community College District includes four colleges (Fresno City College, Reedley College, Clovis Community College, and Madera Community College) and additional campus locations serving urban and rural territories. The District employs over 2,800 employees, enrolls nearly 70,000 students and covers more than 5,743 square miles spanning four counties, serving approximately 1.8 million people and 38 unified and high school districts in its service area. The ideal candidate will share a commitment to the District's mission of serving the diverse and vibrant Central Valley by efficiently delivering a comprehensive array of postsecondary educational programs and support services to meet a range of student needs and student goals, including associate and baccalaureate degrees, transfer, employment-ready certificates, and lifelong learning. The ideal candidate will also work together with the faculty, classified professionals, administrators, and Trustees, at our four colleges, to create innovative, and antiracist teaching a learning environments at each of the four colleges that are welcoming, accessible, and student-centered, designed to bolster our students' social and economic mobility locally, regionally, and globally. Chancellor Position Overview State Center Community College District (SCCCD) is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the next Chancellor for our multi-college district. The Chancellor will provide unifying and participatory leadership to a dynamic, complex, diverse district. The Chancellor will build upon the district's strong legacy of achievement and leadership in the communities served. As chief executive officer of the District, the Chancellor is responsible to the Governing Board for the administration of the District in accordance with the provisions of the California Education Code and the policies of the District. The Chancellor exercises general supervision over the offices of the College Presidents, Deputy Chancellor, Vice Chancellors, Executive Directors of Public and Legislative Relations and Foundation, General Counsel, and Chief Technology Officer. This will lay the foundation to build relationships and re-build trust with and between the District office and the Campuses. The review and implementation of various district-wide planning documents in respective areas provide both challenges and opportunities. These fall in the following areas :
