Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Chemical Analyst to join the Pesticides in Fruits and Vegetables team. You will analyze food for the presence of pesticides using modern measuring systems, contributing directly to food safety for humans and animals. The role involves working in a dynamic laboratory environment within a friendly team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis.
• Perform measurements using LC-(HR)MS/MS and/or GC-(HR)MS/MS systems.
• Process and interpret data.
• Report analysis results to the project leader.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to ensure reliable results.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A completed MBO education with relevant work experience, or an HBO degree in a chemical field.
• (Internship) experience in a laboratory environment.
• Willingness to work about once a month on a Saturday.
• Experience with LC-MS/MS and/or GC-MS/MS and sample preparation techniques is preferred, but training will be provided.
• Experience in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory is advantageous.
• Language level B1 in English; willingness to learn Dutch if not already spoken.

What the Employer Offers

• A competitive gross salary between €2671 and €3719 per month for a full-time working week of 36 hours, based on experience and the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 6-7).
