Chemistry Lecturer

Job Summary

Teach General Chemistry or Organic Chemistry.

Duties include:

• Preparing course materials
• Presenting lectures
• Preparing, administering, and grading exams and homework
• Holding office hours
• Other related duties

This is a 100% appointment for the 2026-2027 academic year. There is a possibility this position could be extended in subsequent semesters to teach General or Organic Chemistry, or similar courses, within the department. This position may become renewable if there is a need for an ongoing appointment.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
