Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) is looking for a bold, strategic, and people-centered Chief of Campus Security to lead our campus safety efforts into the future. This is more than a security role, it’s an opportunity to shape a culture of safety, trust, and belonging across an entire college community.
The Chief of Campus Security acts as the top law enforcement leader for Baton Rouge Community College, providing strategic direction, operational management, and policy guidance for all campus public safety activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- 25% – Strategic Leadership & Department Oversight
- 20% – Compliance, Policy, and Risk Management
- 15% – Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management
- 10% – Community Engagement & Campus Partnerships
- 10% – Organizational Development & Training
- 10% – Operations & Technology Management
- 5% – Budget & Resource Management
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in any field of study
Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or other related field; 10 years of progressive policing experience, including 5 years in a command-level position.
