Posting Context Statement:

The Center on Disabilities and Human Development (CDHD) is an independent unit within the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. The CDHD is supported through a federal infrastructure grant with numerous projects funded through sponsored accounts. The CDHD improves the lives of people with disabilities and their families by educating an interdisciplinary workforce, providing training and technical assistance within communities, conducting research, providing direct services and disseminating evidence-based information.

Position Overview:

This position provides responsive and engaging support for childcare professionals related to state licensing, Idaho Child Care Program (ICCP) and business practices. This position works with other coaches in the regional offices as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support child care providers.

Duties may include:

• Idaho Child Care Orientations
• Business practice support
• Licensing compliance support
• ICCP compliance support
• Child care referrals
• Other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

• Two years providing customer support
• Balancing and coordinating a workload for multiple projects
• Using computers and software for email, scheduling, word processing, data entry and organization
• Communicating to small and large audiences
• Maintaining confidentiality while managing sensitive documents and information
• Working in a professional setting

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Required Other:

• Must be able to travel
• Must be able to work nonstandard hours as needed

Additional Preferred:

Education:

• Associate’s Degree or higher

Experience:

• Working with early childhood education and early child care professionals
• Organizing work effectively and efficiently
• Answering a business telephone using business procedures/etiquette
• Interpreting federal or state regulations/guidelines

Knowledge of:

• Quality childcare
• The Idaho Child Care Program
• IdahoSTARS Project
