Position Overview
The College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher for the Cultivating Indigenous Research Communities for Leadership in Education and STEM (CIRCLES) Alliance. The Postdoctoral Researcher will work under Dr. Philip Stevens but will also be involved in supporting Program Principal Investigators in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences and the College of Natural Resources. The position will focus on supporting the research aims of the CIRCLES Alliance, particularly the analysis and dissemination of qualitative research examining the experiences of students enrolled in the Certificate in Indigenous Research and Education (CIRE). This is a full-time, 12 month postdoctoral appointment with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.
Required Experience
- Experience with qualitative analysis, Indigenous/community-based research
- Working in team-oriented environment to accomplish shared goals
Required Education
- Doctorate in Education, Indigenous Studies, Anthropology, Natural Resources, or related field with a social science focus
Additional Preferred
- Experience with land-based/place-based Science Education
- Experience working with Tribal Nations, Native and Indigenous communities, and K-12 educators in formal or informal contexts
