Circulation and Access Services Supervisor
A cover letter and resume are important submissions for the hiring team to get a sense of your experience. Please include in the cover letter your experiences supervising ongoing non-temporary staff. Please submit both the cover letter and resume as one file (due to system limitations).
The Circulation and Access Services and Divisional Library (CASDL) team helps faculty, students, staff, and visitors find and use our collections, services, and resources. As a Circulation and Access Services Supervisor, you will support student and staff employees in providing information, answering questions, and connecting patrons to the services the library has to offer. Like all members of CASDL, you will make our spaces, services, and collections welcoming, accessible, and safe for a broad community of staff and users. You will work with employees, providing daily support and collaborating with our unit's team of supervisors and managers to oversee scheduling, circulation, and training programs.
You will directly manage the work of at least two full-time staff members and collaborate in the supervision of a team of student employees. You may be responsible for building opening and closing. In the absence of a manager, you will be the highest-level staff member onsite in evening and weekend hours and may be the primary contact for the department in case of emergency. You will report to the Monday-Saturday Manager for Hatcher and Shapiro Libraries.
We encourage our employees to incorporate their backgrounds, skills, and life experiences into our work environment and to put our values into practice. Learn more information on our Library Mission.
