Job Description Summary
This position is responsible for facilitating and performing the circulation, reservation, and maintenance of all print and non-print library materials.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- Three years of library media or related experience required.
- Certificate in Library Media preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Operates and maintains the automated circulation system...
- Maintains all print and non-print instructional material collections...
- Answers directional inquiries...
- Communicates library policies and procedures...
- Operates, inspects, maintains and makes or coordinates repairs to a variety of office and audiovisual equipment...
- Assists patrons with the use of instructional audiovisual equipment...
- Opens and/or closes the library...
- Participates in all functions of the photo identification program...
- Participates in all functions of the reserved instructional materials collection...
- Acquires and uses knowledge of the instructional media collections...
- Operates the automated library system to provide instructional audiovisuals to faculty...
- Meets periodically with the circulation coordinator...
- Assist in training student assistants...
- Assist with the general duties of the circulation coordinator...
- Serve as a Campus Security Authority (CSA)...
- Performs related work as required.

- Customer Service skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills...
- Ability to work with a diverse population.
- Knowledge of general clerical office practices.
- Ability to exercise initiative and perform work independently.
