About The Role

This is a Permanent full-time role.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of the Operating Department Practice programme at Swansea University. This is a pivotal moment as we welcome our third cohort of students into our learning community. The programme provides a platform for innovative Operating Department Practice learning, teaching and research, and we are now looking to add to our dynamic Operating Department Practice team. We are looking for an individual who is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a practising Operating Department Practitioner and has considerable experience in the Scrub role. The programme requires someone who can significantly enhance our student learning experience through the design, delivery and continuing development of an innovative curriculum. You will have the opportunity to take on leadership roles and mentor learners, while developing your own research and teaching skills.

The successful candidate will need to have:

  • A degree/diploma in Operating Department Practice, relevant Scrub professional experience and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience in effective teaching in the clinical setting or higher education.
  • Knowledge of current Operating Department Practice and theory.
  • A commitment to CPD and innovation in Operating Department Practice.
  • The ability to disseminate research findings through appropriate written, oral or other media both within the institution and externally.

We welcome applications from candidates who are committed to enhancing the diversity of our team and University.

If you are passionate about Operating Department Practice and want to be part of an ambitious team, please submit your CV, cover letter and statement. We look forward to hearing from you!
