Job Description Summary: The Client Support & Training Specialist in the Department of Pediatrics supports KUMC programs that provide education, coaching, and training to individuals, families, and service providers working with people who have developmental, physical, behavioral, or sensory disabilities. This position is responsible for delivering evidence-based training in behavioral techniques, including behavior analysis, criterion-referenced assessments, and autism interventions. The role focuses on increasing participant skills and addressing challenging behaviors such as aggression and self-stimulatory actions, while also coordinating sessions, providing resources, and documenting outcomes to ensure program success.
Job Duties Outlined:
- Assist with the implementation of an internally funded grant.
- Assists in the recruitment of participants for training, including obtaining service provider and child consents for participation.
- Obtain consent from trainees participating in training.
- Prepare for training by creating materials, helping trainees register, and preparing materials.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and coaching to service providers in use of the strategies taught during training via video and in person feedback.
- Conduct assessments of service providers in the application of targeted skills.
- Assists with reports on findings from training which will go to funding agencies.
- Provide administrative support.
Work Environment: This position will travel to training sites throughout the state of Kansas.
Required Qualifications
Work Experience:
- Four (4) years experience in early childhood education, behavior analysis, psychology, language, or related field. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- Two (2) years work experience with children using the principles of applied behavior analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in early childhood education, behavior analysis, psychology, language or related field.
Work Experience: Five (5) years of experience training service providers to work with children with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Pay Range: $21.09 - $28.47 (Minimum $21.09, Midpoint $24.78, Maximum $28.47)
