Clinic Patient Support Technician – AOP Medication Mobile Unit
Job Summary:
The Clinic Patient Support Technician primarily provides administrative and reception support for the University of Colorado ARTS Medication Mobile Unit (MMU), ensuring smooth and professional operations at service locations. Key responsibilities include patient check-ins, appointment scheduling and confirmation, payment collection, maintaining accurate financial records, and coordinating with ARTS Centralized Billing and Management. This position also involves overseeing supply inventory, supporting abstinence monitoring protocols, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff through effective crowd management. When the MMU is in operation, the Clinic Patient Support Technician supports service delivery at various Metro Denver locations; when not in use, the role is based at the ARTS Westside Center for Change or other ARTS clinics. In addition to administrative duties, the position is responsible for the safe and competent operation, maneuvering, and storage of the MMU.
This position is typically required to work from 6:00am-2:30pm, occasionally for a limited number of hours on Saturdays, from 6:00am-10:00am. The working hours for this position may deviate from posted working hours due to project or clinic needs, traffic, weather conditions, vehicle repairs/maintenance, or other factors that may affect the operational schedule of the MMU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by proactively acknowledging and greeting patients receiving services on MMU, providing information, and other services as necessary for the smooth and safe delivery of services.
- Oversee front desk/administrative activities onboard the MMU, or at an ARTS AOP clinic.
- Control the flow of people in, around, and outside of the MMU at manageable levels.
- Collaborate closely and regularly with the ARTS Facilities and Fleet Vehicles Manager for vehicle maintenance, repairs, and other tasks for the MMU.
- Maintain any required certifications in emergency response, basic life support, and other areas as required by the University of Colorado, ARTS, as well as applicable federal and/or state law or regulation.
- Reliably and consistently drive, operate, and park the MMU in a safe, competent, courteous, and prudent manner at all times.
- Maneuver the MMU to/from its daily parked location at an AOP clinic or ARTS facility, and the location(s) where the MMU will provide treatment and services to patients.
Work Location:
Onsite – At ARTS clinic locations located in Denver, Arvada, and Aurora, as well as potential periodic duty on the ARTS Medication Mobile Unit.
