Clinical Academic Cardiologist - Advanced Heart Failure
Position Profile
The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, at Western University and London Health Sciences Centre, and St. Joseph’s Health Care London are seeking a full-time clinical academic Cardiologist at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level, depending on qualifications and experience, with a clinical and academic focus in Advanced Heart Failure.
The successful candidate is expected to have completed training in an Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology program as well as a strong academic interest in teaching, research and/or quality improvement.
Academic and Clinical Expectations
The Advanced Heart Failure Program in London currently includes 4 Cardiologists, 1 General Internist and 1 Nephrologist. The Program offers inpatient advanced heart failure consultative services, outpatient Heart Failure clinics with a large, fully serviced clinic at the SJHC, as well as Cardiac Transplant and Mechanical Circulatory Support Programs.
Applicants should be certified, or eligible for certification, in Cardiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent. Candidates must have an MD, or equivalent, and must be eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) in the province of Ontario.
