Clinical Adjunct Instructor, Radiologic Imaging Technology, UC Blue Ash
Job Overview
On a part-time, limited basis, the Adjunct Faculty member’s primary academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating, and reporting knowledge to students. This may include creating curricula or teaching from model curricula provided by the department.
Adjunct Faculty responsibilities will include teaching bachelor’s level courses in Radiologic Imaging Technology.
Adjunct faculty members may be expected to (1) use our course management system (Canvas) and any textbook-specific systems; (2) provide students with clinical instruction and supervision; (3) hold regular office hours to meet with students and reply to student communications in a timely manner; and (4) participate in at least one professional development workshop per year.
This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
Essential Functions
- On a part-time basis, teach assigned undergraduate courses.
- Maintaining knowledge of program mission and goals;
- Understanding the clinical objectives and clinical evaluation system and evaluating students’ clinical competence.
- Participating in the assessment process, as appropriate.
- Maintaining current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress and monitoring and enforcing program policies and procedures.
- Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework.
- Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of their responsibilities.
- Review and respond in a timely manner to all University-related and student communications.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Required Education
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Radiography.
Required Trainings/Certifications
- Current ARRT certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography
- Ohio Radiographer license
- American Heart Association CPR
Required Experience
- One (1) year experience in supervision, instruction, and evaluation.
- Two (2) years of clinical experience in the professional discipline.
Additional Qualifications Considered
A Master’s degree in a related field will also be considered.
